COVID -19

Effective May 26, 2020 kinesiologists and other regulated health professionals can, when all necessary precautions and protocols are in place to protect patients/clients and themselves, gradually and carefully begin providing all services, including non-essential services.

Your health is my first priority and so, to help protect you and myself from any potential spread of COVID-19, the following precautions and procedures will be put in place and followed:

  • I will follow any guidelines put out by the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario and the Government of Ontario.

  • I will monitor my own health. If I feel unwell or show symptoms of COVID19, then I will cancel sessions. I will get a COVID-19 test every 14 days.

  • Prior to each session, I will take clients through a screening questionnaire. If it results in a positive result then the session will be cancelled - without charge - and the client will be asked to call telehealth Ontario prior to their primary care provider for further clinical assessment.

  • Before and after each session I will wash or sanitize my hands. Clients will be asked to do the same.

  • I will wear a mask during the session. Clients will be asked to do the same. Let me know if you don’t have one.

  • Only equipment that is owned by the client will be used during sessions to eliminate any sharing of equipment. If my equipment is used, it will be sanitized before and after the session.

  • I will continue to see clients who live in retirement residences as long as the home is not in outbreak. If there is an outbreak declared, sessions will be cancelled until the outbreak is over. I will follow guidelines as put forth by the homes – undergoing a screening questionnaire upon arrival and leaving, having a negative COVID test every 14 days, wearing a mask, sanitizing between clients, limiting movement within common areas.

  • Virtual sessions or a combination of in-person and virtual sessions are available to those clients who wish to use it and if appropriate.
